Summer Events

Beat the heat and enjoy a summer full of events in the Border Rivers Region. In December, head to Goondiwindi for the annual Goondiwindi Cotton December Races. Enjoy a day of horse racing, live music, fashion contests, and local food and beverages.

In January, celebrate Australia Day in style with the Australia Day Celebrations at the Goondiwindi Showgrounds. You can expect a full day of activities, including a barbecue breakfast, live entertainment, amusement rides, and fireworks at night.

Cool off from the summer heat in February at the St George Aqua Fitness and Family Fun Day. Hosted at the St George Swimming Pool, this event includes aquatic games, music, food stalls, and an inflatable obstacle course. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit!

Autumn Events

As the weather cools down, the Border Rivers Region heats up with a variety of events. Start the season off with the Goondiwindi Grey Street Markets in March, where you'll find local produce, handmade crafts, and live music.

In April, head to Texas for the annual Texas Rabbit Works Festival. This family-friendly event features market stalls, live music, and, of course, a rabbit-themed parade.

The St George Cotton Cup Races take place in May, attracting thousands of people from all over the country. Enjoy a day of country racing, fashions on the field, live entertainment, and tasty food and drinks from local vendors.

Winter Events

Warm up your winter with some of the region's best events. Start off in June with the Tenterfield Poultry Club Show. Admire some of the most beautiful feathered friends in the region and enjoy a day of fun.

The Goondiwindi Top of the Town Country Music Festival in July is a must-attend event for any music lover. Listen to some of the best country music Australia has to offer and enjoy a weekend filled with performances, workshops, and events.

In August, the Texas Country Music Roundup is a celebration of country music with live performances, food stalls, and fun for the whole family.

Spring Events

Say goodbye to winter and enjoy the beautiful sights of spring at these exciting events. In September, the Goondiwindi Natural Heritage and Water Park Open Day is a day filled with outdoor activities and fun for the entire family.

October brings Grandchester's Cottage Markets, where you can enjoy handmade goods, fresh produce, and live music.

The Warialda Agricultural Show in November is a highlight of the season, with live entertainment, animal exhibits, local crafts, and delicious food and drink vendors.
